About the Rustic Roads Commission
The Commission has 7 members appointed by the County Council. The Commission oversees the designation and protection of the County's most historic, scenic, and unaltered roads. The Commission submits recommendations to the County Council for designation of these roads into the Frederick County Rustic Roads Program. The RRC also reviews significant roadwork that is planned on Rustic Roads and provides advisory comments to the Division of Public Works.
The Rustic Roads Commission meets monthly on the second Wednesday at 6:00pm. The public is invited to attend the meetings at Winchester Hall, 12 E. Church St. Frederick, Maryland, in the First Floor Hearing Room.
